Gerlin Naidoo
Gerlin is a Paediatric & Neonatal Surgery senior registrar with an academic interest in point-of-care ultrasound training for surgeons. She is currently working towards her DPhil within the Nuffield Department of Surgery, University of Oxford. This work entails assessing the implementation of PoCUS in surgical practice in resource limited settings. She is also passionate about improving access to PoCUS training for NHS surgeons. Her experience in PoCUS education has been gained through work in Tanzania with the GTP (German Society for Tropical Paediatrics & International Child Health). Outside of her clinical practice, she has also previously undertaken an ex-clerkship through Harvard University and worked for the World Health Organization (WHO) in the area of policy development for maternal and child health interventions.
